Champagne Moments - Bespoke Wedding Stationery and Cards
Frequently Asked Questions

"When should I order my stationery?"

All of the collections are individually handmade, therefore on average an order takes 4-6 weeks after your proof authorisation. We recommend you order your stationery at least 3 months in advance of when you intend to send your invitations out. We may however, be able to accomodate a shorter timescale.

"When should I send my invitations out?"

For a summer wedding as it is peak season it is recommended you send them out 3 months in advance. For all other times allow a minimum of 6 weeks. Save the date cards are a good idea as these can be sent up to one year in advance to enable guests to reserve the date in their diary.

"Who should the invitations come from?"

Traditionally it is the duty of the brides parents to send the invitations. However it is becoming increasingly popular for the bridal couple to send them.

"How do I chose a design?"

Your invitation is the first glimpse your guests have of the style of your wedding so it is important that you get it right. Is it to be a traditional or more contemporary wedding; think about your colours and a possible theme.

"What stationery do I need?"

Wedding invitations, evening invitations, order of service, menus, place cards, table plan and thank you cards are the usual stationery items to be purchased. However save the date cards and RSVP cards can be ordered for extra convenience. You should check with your venue to see if they offer any of these as part of your package, but remember, these will not match the rest of your stationery.

"How many should I order?"

It is advisable to prepare a comprehensive list of guests as this will show how many singles, couples and families you propose to invite. You only need to send one invite per household. We recommend you order 2 or 3 extra items of each type in the event some of your guests are unable to attend and you wish to invite someone in their stead.
For the Order of Service it is best to allow at least one between two for the guests and then one each for vicar, best man, bridesmaids, choir, organist and yourselves.
